I love tee-shirts. And websites with cool music. Thats how come I got uber excited about interviewing the Californian design house Every Little Counts for this edition of Ten Questions!

When was Every Little Counts founded?
Every Little Counts was born around Valentine's Day of last year.
Why was the label created?
When we started Every Little Counts, I had been working for a number of companies, designing clothing that I was never 100 percent inspired by. When we decided to start our own company, we did so because we wanted to do something we could stand behind, and something that allowed us to indulge our influences and inspirations.
Where did the label's name come from?
Every Little Counts is one of our favorite New Order songs- we love New Order. It was also our wedding song.
Who makes your designs into actual pieces, and where?
We actually buy "blanks" from either American Apparel or Alternative Apparel and do all of the graphic design and screen-printing ourselves. I come up with the concept and do all of the preliminary design work. Adam comes in with his expert graphic design and typography knowledge to help suss it all out. We do all of the screen-printing ourselves.
What inspires your designs?
I am incredibly nostalgic so a lot of my inspirations are derived from memories and sentiments, growing up, falling in and out of love, being a dramatic teenager- I love all of that stuff. Then there's French New Wave film, 80's rock ballads, literature, typography, the quiet beauty of the country. For more check out our blog, www.every-little-counts.blogspot.com.
What is your favorite piece in the collection?
Every day I have a new favorite- I love them all.
How long has Every Little Counts been operating for?
We've been going steady Jan./Feb. 2008.
Who has been seen wearing your pieces?
Well, some of the more well known are Perez Hilton, Sophia Bush, and Meiko, but we adore our customers from all over the world- Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, The UK, Finland...
