Dead Unit Dark - Grab HERE!
Home for the holidays my mother is getting kinda upset that I'm being rather antisocial - I spent the first 24 hours with my nose in a couple of books. One of these was excusable, an English Lit. text; Cat On A Hot Tin Roof by Tennessee Williams but the others were part of the Sookie Stackhouse serise of novels by Charlaine Harris, or for those more television than book literate of those of you who read NYLON Magazine last month; the set of books the HBO hit series True Blood is based on.
Now, like with Harry Potter I'd be hard pressed to find someone who has not read/ seen Twilight. Now I'm a big Twilight fan, but to be perfectly honest they are not really that well written. I like Twilight but now Twilight fever has peaked and is on the comedown I can live without regualr fixes of sparkly vampires and staked werewolves.
On the other hand, bring on the Fangbangers. I CANNOT get enough of True Blood! One of THE best shows on Television and it has reignited my love for all things Vamp.

I HIGHLY recomemend THIS post by Manju Gone Blog entitled "Fangbanger Faceoff" for all the reasons why True Blood heroine Sookie Stackhouse is twice the leading lady Bella Swan will ever be.
Also for anyone who has happened to read the Sookie Stackhouse books, and has got as far as book 4, True Blood has something Twilight will never have: Eric Northman.

I've made you want to go read them now, just to get to book 4 now haven't I?!? Now a wonderful little Edward vs. Bill note to leave you on...

*Edit* - I've just realized I haven't expalined to all you heathens what a "Fangbanger" is... its someone who has sex with vampires.

I am IN LOVE beth my new black Molskine notebook... I took it to the Tate Modern with me and it was fantastic - mine has blank pages so I could write, cut and paste and sketch! The PERFECT investment!
Today I'm really digging the new collection from London based designer Suwha - and their lookbook!

I WANT that metallic jacket!!!

And WHERE do I have to break into to get my hands on these shoes?!?
Images c/o and you can check out the products/ visit the online store HERE!

Today for me seems to be about all things new... new looks Sunday Times Style Magazine (Don't get me started. Apart from the part where they asked top fashion bloggers for their take on one of Lady Gaga's more outrageous fashion choices [did anyone SEE here at the VMA's?] at the beginning I am NOT impressed.)
However my favourite thing new was the pleasant surprise I got when I logged onto N.E.E.T magazine's website and saw Editor In Chief Stephanie J has given it a make-over!
Be sure to check it out - the new issue has some KILLER illustrations!
Jennifer Ouellette headbands. Seriously. I went into town a couple of weeks ago to hunt for headbands, as I only had one and it was a little bit too small for me, and I found loads but they were all cheap and uncomfortable. I came back with one, and only one which I've worn a hell of a lot since at that was my black big bow Topshop one (also available in Fuchsia, but that colour is SO not me). I then again went to look at the mall/ shopping centre and still NOTHING. Seriously? I used to get them from there/ wear them all the time when I was like 9... and back then they weren't even fashionable! it took watching back to back the Valley Girls and Finale episodes of Gossip Girl to remember someone, who dresses and wears her hair in a very similar way to me. I also happen to know of a very wonderful blog called Gossip Girl Fashion, which lists all the items Serena, Vanessa, Jenny and BLAIR wear on the show - and where to buy them! After flipping through the entire back catalogue of Blair outfits (the amount of them I just don't want, but NEED is incredible) and skipping the sites that are just to extortionate ($200 for a hairband. Seriously?) Then I came across Jennifer Ouellette. Fine, some of her pieces are on the kinda pricy side but hopefully I'll be getting hold of some cash soon... And when I do I am SO ordering this (and one other, as there's a $20 discount code for orders over $100):

I want to get the same color as Blair is wearing too (shut up everyone telling me I'm trying to copy Blair Waldorf), as I know it will match my hair colour as it looks so good on her!
