And Halloween?

Ok, this is the story of every Halloween in my house since I was about six;

My Dad was a headteacher. You know this, but what you don't know is that he was a headteacher at one of the most disadvantaged schools in the country. He was good at what he did, and he made the school better... but to do this, he had to become very unpopular with some of the, ahem, less agreeable pupils.

Somehow, said less agreeable pupils worked out where we live.

And they have been known to -
- throw eggs at our windows
- shoot air-gun pellets through our windows
- surround our house and pelt us with stones
- and so, so much more...

And, this is all exacerbated by the truly delightful Yorkshire tradition of "Mischief Night", November 4th, which generally speaking occurs from October 31st to November 10th these days, where it is considered acceptable to do all of the above.

I freaking Halloween.

Ok, if I have a Halloween party next year, or the next one I'm having you are going to come and ENJOY it as I can promise no one will throw eggs at you! You WILL dress up, you WILL have fun and you WILL eat yummy food and way too much candy.
